Are there any limitations to the $1 Pint ?
Every taproom offers $1 Pints, but they may exclude specific items on their beer menu.
Taprooms frequently rotate their limited selections, offer "guest" taps, and some recipes are much more expensive to brew. While Pawsitive Pints offers an incredible discount for the card holders, the participating taprooms are being very generous with their discount and we also want the program to fair to them. We encourage taprooms to offer a wide variety of their menu in order to make your beer drinking experience as interesting as possible. Taprooms may offer a discounted price on these specialty menu items, even if it isn't as low as the incredible $1 promotion, so check with your server.
Why do I need to show my card before I order ?
Every menu item at that location may not be eligible for the $1 Pint promotion. By showing the card BEFORE you order, you can make sure that the beer you order is part of the $1 promotion. Specialty beers not included under the $1 promotion may still be eligible for a discount, so check with your server.

Why didn't the taproom serve me a 16 oz pint ?
The "Pint" in Pawsitive Pint is a descriptive term, not a scientific definition. You will receive what a full size pour is for the item you ordered. The size of the glass of beer varies at many locations based on the beverage, whether you are using your card or not.
Often higher alcohol or specialty beers are served in alternative size pours (tulip glasses, goblets, etc..). You are getting the same size glass for $1 as the clueless guy next to you who is paying full price because he doesn't have a card.
Can I use my card at all the locations ?
We encourage card holders to go explore new taprooms and experience new beers. You are eligible to receive your $1 Pint at all of our taprooms. After your purchase, your card cannot be used again at that specific location, but you can visit all the other ones - so go explore and enjoy.
Locations may offer discounts on your additional orders but that is up to the discretion of each taproom.
How does "Saving Lives, One Pint at a Time" work ?
Profits from the sale of Pawsitive Pints card benefit Zelda's Foundation for Animals, a 501c3 non-profit pet rescue. They're a small, all-volunteer organization that saves homeless and abandoned pets off death row at high-kill shelters. They depend completely on private donations to continue their mission. When you purchase your card, you are helping to fund their work, and helping to spare the lives of these creatures that desperately need rescuing. When you buy your $1 Pint, your participation in Pawsitive Pints is appreciated by the taprooms you are visiting, the rescue you are supporting, and most importantly, the pets you are saving.
Was there any collusion with the taprooms in creating Pawsitive Pints?
There was blatant and obvious collusion. We worked closely with all 60+ locations to create a fun program that brings you the best possible deal on great local craft beer, raises the most funds for Zelda's Foundation for Animals, and promotes the participating taprooms.
How can I help save more pets ?
You can help by spreading the word to your friends and in your networks. The more Pawsitive Pits card that sell, the more funds we raise. Every pet saved costs the rescue hundreds, sometimes thousands, of dollars. By increasing our funds, we have greater resources to afford the veterinary, boarding and training costs of the pets we save.
Is the cost of the card worth it and tax-deductible ?
The face value of the card is well over $400, so your purchase price is far below the value of your card. The $35 you spend for the card is a break even after just 5 or 6 locations, and can save hundreds of dollars if you go to all locations. In a way, it makes for a great return on your investment, even better than buying Amazon stock many years ago. In fact, if you buy and use 300 cards, you can save almost $1 million dollars in beer costs every year.
Is Pawsitive Pints vegan ?
Pawsitive Pints cards are completely vegan, gluten free and contain no sugar, nuts or preservatives. They are made in the USA too. However, the beer you purchase may not be, so please check with your server for any dietary restrictions.
Can I buy one for my dog ?
Pawsitive Pints make great gifts for your drinking companions and other beer lovers. Just remember, only the card holder gets the $1 Pint. While you can buy one for your dog, only you can drink the beer. Beer contain hops which are toxic to our furry friends. Cards are triple thick and sturdy, and will easily last in your wallet or pocket for the year they are eligible - but they are not intended to be used as a chew toy, so please keep a close watch on your dog if he has the card.
If I buy a card, will Pawsitive Pints make the world a better place ? Will it make me feel better about myself ?

Who is the dog in the logo ? I love her !
The dog in the logo is Bijou. Pawsitive Pints is dedicated in her memory. She was one of the first dogs we ever rescued when we saved her from certain death in New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. She was as beautiful in spirit as she is in pictures. Bijou was a loyal, loving best friend. She passed away last year. We miss her a lot. Still. And every day.
